Thanks for praying for my surgery! I was in longer than they thought but everything went well. The cyst is off to pathology but the doctor is confident that everything is fine. It is good going into things like this knowing that family is praying.

Why it’s vital to know and understand God’s Word

The devil comes to steal the Word of God…
¨ Because if he can steal the Word of God, he’ll steal the PROMISES of the Word.
¨ If he steals the promises of the word, he’ll steal your CONFIDENCE
¨ If he steals your confidence, he’ll steals your JOY
¨ If he steals your joy, he’ll steal your STRENGTH (the joy of the Lord is our strength…)
¨ If he steals your strength, he’ll steal your ability to FIGHT
¨ If he steals your ability to fight, he’ll steal your ability to WIN
¨ If he steals your ability to win, he’s WON, and stolen your VICTORY…
And that’s not God’s Plan:
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37–39 ESV)
This morning I was sitting in my office and I was and am not feeling all that great. I had a rough Saturday with the flu and then a cough set in. I don’t know if you know this, but it is very hard to sleep and cough at the same time ……and Brenda verified that for me moments ago. So what do you do when you “feel like” doing nothing? Do you do nothing? Well, I want to, and there is nothing wrong with that – but just at the right time I received this email with a prayer for me. I cannot tell you how much it blessed me! Here it is ….
Pastor, Ellen always says to Bless people and pray according to the Word because it’s so powerful…. so I Bless you Pastor with strength and complete restoration. I draw the blood line of Jesus around you and In Jesus name I proclaim that Jesus himself is strengthening you and lifting you up. Jesus has Blessed you with abundant life, so right now, I bless you with Abundant Life through the Word to every organ, tissue and cell of your body bringing health, restoration, and healing to the fulfillment of your days. I bless you with fullness of Joy and Peace which guards your heart and mind in Jesus Name!!!

I have never heard someone say, Yahoo! Amen!!! But I like it!
So my point – well, words matter and encouraging words are health to the weary. Speak those good words over others, and thank God for the Ellen’s of the church who are teaching other people the power of words.
